Faith Frontier Ministry – Organization Charter

Unincorporated church and ministry declaration, bylaws, and worship schedule for Faith Frontier Ministry under IRC §508(c)(1)(A) and §501(c)(3).


Article I — Purpose

Faith Frontier Ministry (“the Ministry”) exists to worship God, teach Scripture, serve creation through works of mercy, and steward land for the good of people and animals. Activities include public and private worship, pastoral counseling, education, food and habitat restoration, and cooperative work on the Tiller Earth Sanctuary.

Article II — Faith and Doctrine

  1. We affirm one Creator, revealed through the wisdom of Scripture and the witness of conscience.
  2. We receive the Bible as inspired and instructive, interpreting it through love of God and neighbor.
  3. We hold that labor, land, and community are sacred trusts; caring for them is a form of worship.
  4. We respect freedom of conscience; no person is coerced in belief or ritual.
  5. We seek reconciliation, ecological balance, and justice as expressions of faith.

Article III — Organization

  1. Elders / Trustees: The Ministry is overseen by elders, initially including Devon Tyler Barber and such others as the fellowship shall appoint by unanimous consent.
  2. Officers: Officers include:
    • Moderator — presides over meetings and general spiritual direction.
    • Treasurer — records gifts, offerings, and expenditures.
    • Recorder — keeps minutes and official correspondence.
  3. Membership: Any person who shares the Statement of Faith and participates in worship or service at least quarterly may be listed as a member.
  4. Decision Making: Matters of faith are decided by consensus; administrative matters by simple majority of members present at a duly called meeting.
  5. Property: The Faith Frontier Ecclesiastical Trust is the designated holding body for all land, buildings, tools, and funds dedicated to ministry purposes.

Article IV — Meetings and Worship Schedule

The Ministry maintains a regular pattern of worship, study, and seasonal gathering, including:

  • Weekly Worship: Sundays, 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. (location or online as announced)
  • Mid-week Study / Fellowship: Wednesdays, 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
  • Seasonal Gatherings:
    • Feast of First Fruits (Spring)
    • Day of Restoration (Autumn)
    • Founders’ Commemoration (June 13)

Additional times of prayer, fasting, or service may be proclaimed by the elders as needed.

Article V — Fiscal Integrity

  1. All gifts, tithes, and donations are voluntary.
  2. Funds are used solely for ministry, sanctuary upkeep, aid to persons or animals in need, and reasonable stipends for ministers or workers.
  3. No net earnings shall inure to the personal benefit of any member, officer, or private individual.
  4. Annual financial and activity summaries will be prepared and made available to members.

Article VI — Dissolution

If the Ministry ceases to operate as an active fellowship, all remaining assets shall pass to another religious or charitable body with substantially similar purposes, preferably one recognized under §501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, as determined by the elders.

Article VII — Recognition Under §508(c)(1)(A)

The Ministry is organized and shall be operated exclusively for religious purposes within the meaning of §501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and is a church or association of churches described in §508(c)(1)(A). It shall operate as an unincorporated church body, maintaining transparent records and governance for good order and accountability.


Bylaws Summary

  1. The Ministry shall meet at least quarterly to confirm officers and review accounts.
  2. Minutes shall be recorded for all official meetings where decisions are made.
  3. A separate bank account shall be maintained in the Ministry’s name; personal and Ministry funds shall not be commingled.
  4. Two authorized signatures shall be required for any withdrawal or transfer above a threshold set by the elders.
  5. The Ministry may furnish information returns or forms only when legally required, while relying on automatic exemption under §508(c)(1)(A) as a church.
